Not perfect, but beautiful

A few weeks ago, the Nester had a special day for “It Doesn’t Have to be Perfect to be Beautiful”. My latest quilt is a perfect example of this philosophy.  We are leaving for camp for two weeks, and in addition to packing, I’ve been throwing together a quick baby quilt for a shower that will happen while we’re gone.  As you can see from the closeup picture below, my machine quilted hearts are not perfect–some of them are downright juvenile.  But they hold the fabric together, and they were quilted with love, as my label indicates.  This baby is being born to one of our former youth group members, so she is extra special.  And her arrival makes me feel old.  Just wait ’til it’s one of my own grandkids!  Then old will be good!
